Two Gals and a Dog were invited to visit the Lance Factory in Lancaster, CA recently and bring our Lance, who we fondly call ‘Lacey’ Lance for a few upgrades!
Of course, we were delighted! And it gave the Rollin’ On TV crew the opportunity to create segments for Lance, one of the show’s sponsors. One of those segments was just released. Jeff and Marv took out a Lance 1172 truck camper to a particularly interesting location for a review.
Laurie, Rue and I arrived on a Sunday afternoon to our designated camping spot right in the Lance Factory parking lot. There was water and electric to plug into and they have two such spots for customers. We felt so special!
The sign made it easy to know where to pull in. The factory is in a quiet area on a dead-end street and, since it was Sunday, it was very peaceful.
The grass was a nice treat for Rue too. We put out her doggie playpen with the Carefree of Colorado ground blanket, the perfect size and comfort level for the little princess!
We connected with Jose, Sandy, Jeff and Marv for dinner and conversation. Since we live in different locations, it’s a lot of fun to meet up like this a few times a year.
Then we headed back to our cozy Lacey Lance for a good night’s sleep.
After lunch we were very pleased to get to spend a few minutes with Jack Cole, President of Lance Camper. We first met Jack at the RVIA show in Louisville months ago. It was at one of the big parties and he came up to us to introduce himself and give us his personal business card. Talk about feeling special! So it was especially nice to reconnect.
REV Group recently purchased Lance Camper. There are several good articles about the purchase and why it is a good fit. Here is one from Truck Camper Magazine.
With Jeff and Marv focused on shooting the pieces needed for the actual Rollin’ On TV show, Laurie handled both our video camera and dSLR camera, capturing b-roll and photos for our own use. The video below is from her footage. She’s so often in back of the camera and she enjoys every moment! She also loves to shadow our pros and learn tips along the way.
After one more shot of Rue in her doggie playpen, we tucked her into bed and Laurie and I met up with Jeff and Marv for dinner and a little unwinding. It’s always an experience hanging with those two!
As RV newbies who have never visited an RV factory, this tour was especially interesting.
Hearing and seeing the magic of development, the quality control processes in place, smiles on worker’s faces, the frequent efforts to always improve and understanding the pride of the Lance Corporation makes us so happy to own our Lacey Lance! Thank you Lance!
